A New Me

Well I haven't been able to weigh in for the last couple of weeks.  My scales ran out of batteries.  I know, all I have to do is get new batteries, but it's something that I keep thinking.. "Oh I'll do that today" and next thing the day is over and I think "I'll do that tomorrow".  This weekend I will find a screwdriver (the battery panel is screwed closed) and will change the batteries.  They have never run out of batteries before, so I don't even know what size batteries it takes.  I know I have lost weight though, my clothes, particularly my shorts/jeans etc are looser which is exciting.

Today was an exciting day though.  I have had really long hair for so long.  It was half to 3/4's of the way down my back and has been like that for years.  Today I felt like a change.  I guess it's a step in the right direction to a new me with my new healthier ways.   I left the hairdresser today with a bob and a short bob.   When I picked my son up from school, I was waiting there and he didn't recognise me, LOL.  Anyway I love my new hairdo.

I have to tell all of you about this thing I went to last weekend.  By thing I mean seminar, talk, not sure what it was, but it was awesome and I got so much out of it and it is helping me on my weight loss journey and in a big way.  When I have more time on the weekend I will sit down and tell all of you all about it.

Thanks for sharing my journey...

  5. I got my hair cut short once. Cried for days. I'm glad you like your cut. I will never go back to short.

Follower #62 here visiting from Bloggy moms. I followed with GFC under the name Tillmanator. I also "liked" your FB page. I don't need a blog follow but would appreciate a FB "like".

Make sure to "like" it while signed in as a person, not your fan page. It doesn't count if a page or business likes you... only humans.

  6. Congratulations on losing weight & feeling it in your clothes! You don't always need to rely on a scale. Every woman knows that if you don't have to lie down to zip up your jeans anymore, you've lost some weight!
Post a picture of your new haircut, love to see it. I'm aiming for a short bob myself. But I'm growing out my hair to get there.

  7. Okay, I'm following you and hope to join you on your journey. I am also new to Weight Watchers and so far it's not going great. I've been on 5 weeks and have lost either nothing or two pounds depending on how I stand on the scale! So last week I bought a digital scale and the real weigh in will happen over the next few weeks. I have only 15 pounds to lose but I lose weight really slowly despite the fact that I am meticulous about the program and I run four miles a couple of times a week. Ah well... we'll see how it goes. But, I'm happy to follow you and take the trip with you. Good Luck!

  13. Thanks for following Mallwalker and Lynn.
Lynn I have popped over and am following (or liking as it now is, LOL) your facebook page. I was the same as you, I had long long hair for so long. Am loving my new cut though. It's not ridiculously short though, its about the same length as Jennifer Anistens new bob cut.
Mallwalker, good luck with the hair growing and i love your blog by the way :)

  14. Wow, this is the most comments I have ever had. Thank you so much to all of my new followers and my old followers, thank you for sharing my journey!

Raisingamazingdaughters, I am following you on twitter too. Love your blog too. Good luck with the WW journey, I am not sure what I've lost yet. I've been pretty good though so I know I have lost some. Maybe with the running you have been losing fat and gaining muscle, so it's not showing on the scales? Hope the loss starts for you soon :)

EvenAndy, thank you too for the follow. I am following you back. We are heading into Autumn (fall) and Winter in Australia so I had the cut at the wrong time, would have made more sense to have it done 6 months ago so it wasn't so hot on my neck in the extreme heat we have. What a beautiful blog you have! So crisp and clean and beautiful photography. I'm looking forward to reading along!

Thanks Java for adding me to the list. I am certainly following you too. I still forget that I'm 40, still feel 20 actually. I must accept that I am 40! I am 40, LOL. Maybe if I keep reminding myself it will sink in.

Thank you too Mitzi G and Dawn, I am following both of your blogs too :) You both have such beautiful photography on your blogs.
